GULF OIL WAYNE 1920 GAS PUMP 1/18 SCALE
FEATURES
PUMP WITH BRASS HANDLE AND BASE, HEAVY DIE-CAST METAL, RUBBER HOSE, EPOXY GLOBE AND TAMPO GRAPHICS.
How the gas pumps worked:
The handle on the side of the gas pump was actually a pump handle and the gasoline was pumped from the source into the glass tank at the top of the pump. The attendant pumped the requested number of gallons into the glass tank (using the line and gallon mark on the tank as a reference)and then the nozzle was placed into the car and gravity did the rest of the work to transfer the gasoline from the pump to the car.
